My Growing Collection (obession) of Ravens and Crows ~AKA Great Finds~




The above picture is of my collection of Ravens and Crows as of a few weeks ago before I added a little more. It seems to be a little easier to find these birds in the Autumn season. You could say I am obsessed with them, but I say, I just love them. I think that is why I listen to them when they seem to be "talking" to me.




These precious little crows I found at The Dollar Tree. Justine from Justines Halloween was able to buy a whole murder of these little creatures. She is turning them into cute witchy crows. There were only four left by the time I got around to going to The Dollar Tree. Of course, I just had to have all four.




Speaking of Justine at Justines Halloween, I couldn't resist this aceo of "Queen of the Ravens" . The above picture doesn't do this wonderful painting justice. She fits right in with my other Raven Goddess pictures.





And last, but certainly not least, Stacy, from Magic Love Crow, paints the most amazingly adorable crows.  Again, the above picture doesn't do them justice. I ordered "Horny Crow" aceo from Stacy's etsy shop and was surprised and flattered when I opened the envelope to find a letter and two extra aceo's. Stacy knew how much I loved "Bride Of Frankenstein Baby Crow" and  added that the cute "Laugh" Baby Crow. What an honor and a blessings to receive such beautiful and heartfelt gifts. Stacy says I got the extras because I'm special. Thank you my friend for bringing tears of happiness to my soul.

Both Justine and Stacy are truly amazing artists and I am blessed to have met them both in blogger world. I will definitely be buying more from these two wonderful ladies.     Ohhh Vivienne...I love crows too. That is on my list today to look for while I am out shopping. I need some smalls ones to put in my dining room and a couple for my studio.

    Thanks so much for the sweet write-up! :) I'm glad you were able to get some of these little crows too. It sounds like they were pretty popular in your town! There were a few left at our Dollar Tree the other day, but they weren't in the best of shape. It looks like you got some good specimens. :)

    I'm glad that you like my Queen of the Ravens aceo! It looks like you have a whole raven art collection going. That was so nice of Stacy to send you extra aceos!

    So where do you plan to display your Dollar Tree crows and art collection? My little crows are wearing their witch hats and sitting on the guests' plates for tomorrow's party!

    Yay...gorgeous post kindred...and yay..I talk to them too...I share your love for them! My mom just bought me a crow..so sweet! I love all yours...fabulous! and all that art..dazzling and beautful!
    I have a few photos I got of a murder..they are blurry but i still love them.

    You are very welcome. I was surprised that The Dollar Tree had any crows left at all. My girls were laughing at me when i got excited over finding them.

    Queen of the Ravens is very beautiful and she sits on my bedside table watching over me as I sleep. The Horny Crow , Bride of Frakenstein and Laugh Crow will be framed if my daughter doesn't still Horny Crow from me. They will sit on my book shelf and bedside table. The little crows are scattered about the house.

    I ADORE those crows!!! A physic once told me that my father's spirit often visits our family in the form of crows. When I told my brother that his face went white and he told me that often his whole yard will be filled with crows while no other crow could be seen at any other house on his street!!

    I like crows and ravens, too. They're such smart birds. But, sadly, in the mountains where I live we don't have crows, only ravens. I like ravens, but I wish we had crows, too. I read (somewhere, can't remember where) that crows will always remember a kindness done for them by a human, just as they will always remember an unkindness done to them, and they have very strong family bonds and will actually mourn, as a group, when one of theirs passes on.
