Happy October
October is here. Time for Halloween and the witching season. October has always been my favorite month. this year is a little different, while I am thrilled about the upcoming merriment's, I am saddened because on October 4th it will be one year since I lost my dear to cancer. My brother was a very happy, fun loving man, so I know that he would want his family to live their lives in happiness, not sadness. This week will be a week of sorrow but I will count my blessings and remember my brothers fun loving attitude and remember to live.
Happy October to all and may the merriment of the witching season bless your lives.

So sorry for your loss Vivienne! Having suffered more than my fair share of loss in the last years, I can truly empathize. But I think you have the right idea...concentrate on remembering the good and retelling of the happiness he brought. That keeps him alive in the memories. And to me, it always makes my loved ones still feel very close at hand! Sending you positive thoughts and blessings!
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling the thoughts and blessings. Thanks so much. Sorry for your losses as well. It seems that too many people know our pain.
Blessings to you my friend.
October is my favorite month too! I'm sorry that it brings sadness to you as well as excitement. However, this time of year is when the veil between two worlds is the most transparent and the presence of spirits can be felt more easily. I'm sure your brother's spirit will find you and remind you that your bond will always exist!

Hi Lil Dreamer
ReplyDeletethat's what i love most about this time of year, the veil between the worlds being thinner. I feel closeer to all those I have lost at this time. i know my brother is still doing what brothers do, watching out for his sisters.
Thanks for the hugs.
Vivienne, it will get easier as time goes by when you lose someone so close to you. Some people can get over the loss of a loved one faster then others, I'm in the others group. I still get my crying spells every once in awhile, actually 2 nights ago. I was missing my mother. I lost my husband 6 years ago and I miss him so much! We were supposed to grow old together.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it helps to talk about it. we will be here to listen Vivienne.
This is my favorite time of year, Fall.
My favorite holiday is Halloween, so I started a Halloween Blog a couple of days ago.
