MADAME ENDORA'S FORTUNE CARDS

I bought this delightful oracle deck for the gypsy-like  feel it conjures. With its blend of Egyptian, Celtic And Greek iconography it fits right in with all my eclectic lifestyle. This deck has both dark and light cards so it doesn't feel overly grim for those who like the lighter side of life. The only thing I don't like about this deck, are the key-words at the bottom of each card. take the Raven card for instance, the keywords are Darkness Looms On TheHorizon. What I see when I look at this card is Messages  From The Dead. The message could be dark and ominous or it could be message that empowers. It all depends on the surrounding cards. I'm thinking of cutting the bottom of the cards off so the key-words don't interfere with my reading.

This gorgeous deck of cards contains the artwork of Christine Filipak. You can find the cards and more images here.

  2. They are simply gorgeous, Vivienne! I love the artwork on them, especially The Greenman, and The Egyptain Cat, Bastet, and of course The Raven :)
Why don't you try covering the words at the bottom with removable stickers of some kind. It would seem a shame to cut these beautiful cards~~~

  4. Hi Jan,

There are so many beautiful cards in this deck and it is because of that beauty that I have been hesitant to cut them. I'll have to look for something to cover them up.

  5. What a beautiful deck! I zoomed in to look at all the details. I love the Bast card! Some of the key words are pretty foreboding though.

  6. Beautiful deck! I agree with Jan, try to do something else, rather than cutting them. It would be a shame.

  7. I love the Art Nouveau look to the illustration on the card box. This looks like a very pretty deck! Coincidentally, I just did a Tarot reading for a friend today!

  8. Hi Little Gothic Horrors, if I had a cat, she would like like the Bast cat. Love them.

Some of the keywords are a little forboding, I just go with my intuition.
