Kicking Zombie Ass

Just call me Vivienne, Zombie Slayer. That is who I was in my dream the other night. I was kicking zombie ass. Pounding their ugly little heads with a hammer. I know, you think I would have a better weapon but in my dream the hammer worked. I was protecting my girls and I think that is all it took for me to have the courage to kill them. After killing them, I was boarding up the house to keep other zombies out. Then I woke up wondering why the hell I just had that dream.

The dream was like a movie playing in my head. It felt very real and scared the daylights out of me. It was later in the day that I figured out why I had that dream. That night I had done a banishing ritual to rid myself and home from negative engeries, seen and unseen. I think it worked. To me, my zombie dream was telling me that I have what it takes to kick ass in this world. Hammer or no hammer, I need to protect what is mine. My girls, my house, my self. The zombies were all the negativity that was surrounding me and I just bashed them in the head to be rid of them. Of course I can't go around bashing people, though that might be a little fun sometimes when they really piss me off(LOL). I can mentally imagine that I am beaating thier heads in with hammer. A little gruesome, but it's better that doing it for real, right? My scary zombie dream endded up being not that scary at all when i thought about. I know I have what it takes and I will do all that I can.

Someone asked me if I thought that dreams came true. I told him no, that I thought they had messages for us though. Sometimes we need to step back a bit to understand what they are trying to tell us.

Do your dreams have hidden messages for you? Do you listen to them?

  1. I've had zombie dreams, too. They were pretty scary.

Yes, I do think that dreams carry messages. And I try to listen if I discover the message.

  2. Oh I hope mine aren't trying to tell me something right now (although I suspect they are). Looks like my life is about to get screwy. Again.

  3. What a vivid, great dream! You did kick ass!! I think your interpretation is right on. I dream vividly, and often, and most times these dreams seem more chaotic then message-bearing. I also dream of relatives who have passed on; I believe they are just checking in on me. And I have had recurring dreams. The dream world is mysterious, odd and wonderful...and sometimes scary.

  4. You go, girl!

I do pay attention to my dreams. Being 3/4 Native American, I was raised to believe in, and pay heed to, the messages I get when I go dream-walking. That is how quite a few of my ancestors communicate with me, and I find it very comforting to know that they are watching over me.

  5. Well, Vivienne, Zombie Slayer-- I had zombie dreams before which were all very awesome! And I do believe that dreams are hidden messages and I try to listen to them.

There's been a couple of times that I had a dream that teeth fell out and I'm in LOVE with teeth. I looked up what that means to dream of your teeth falling out and they say its because I was tired/overwhelmed. And let's not forget that dream, I'm sure we all have where you're falling and wake up before you hit the ground.

  6. It is only every once in awhile that I remember a dream the next morning. Usually it is pretty impactful and I reflect on it to discern if I'm to learn something... Do I figure out what is to be learned...sometimes yes, sometimes no. My favorite dreams are the problem solving dreams (usually related to a current art or constuction project)... Love them!!!
I think your dream was a gift dream to remind you that though you have been through much you have what it takes to make it through and rise above.
    Have a great day.
    Always, Queenie

  7. Dreams always have important messages for us. Although many utilize cookie cutter books, each person's dream has a different meaning. Many years ago I had a dream which changed my life. I still remember it to this day.

  8. Just curious, were these the sprinting, haul ass kind of zombies from 28 days later, or the lumbering doofus type from the older z movies ...

much of the meaning of your dream depends on your answer methinks

  12. Hi Robin

I ahve a lot of vivid dreams as well. Some of them feel like they are in color too. Relatives visit me from time to time and i love it when they do. I know they are still with us and I know there is "Life" after death.

You are right about the dreamworld. It's an adventure every time I visit.

    Blessings, V.

  13. Hi Victoria

Thanks!!! I think we all should pay more attention to our dreams and our intuition. I know when i don't it can lead to trouble. I love the term dream-walking. Mind if i use it?

It is comforting when our ancestors visit us. I feel loved and honored when they do.

    Blessings, V

  14. Hi Real Queen of Horror

Good to know i'm not the only one to dream of Zombies. They can be scary little boogers.

never had a dream about teeth. That's awesome that they mean that much to you. We all probably have one thing that comes to us in our dreams over and over to let us know to pay attention.

Make sure you do wake up before you hit the ground. if not you might not live to tell about it.

    Blessings, V.

  15. Hi Mary

I have one of those "cookie cutter" books but I have learned that it doesn't work for me. I feel the same as you.

It is good that you still remember that life changing dream. I have not had one but i think it would nice.

    Blessings, V.

  16. Hi kieth

You know, I'm not sure. This all happened in my house so ther wasn't a lot of walking and running. Just me jumping on them, knocking them down and bashing their heads in.

What meaning would you take from that?

  17. Hi V~

Thank you!! I do feel like I kicked major butt in the magical realm. My life and house feel so much better. Not so stressed and a lot happier. I feel that i am more relaxed and comfortable in my own skin.

  19. Hi Dr. Theda

It was a dark dream but those are the ones that make me take notice the most. I Have heard that chantex will do that to you. Sounds like the dreams they produce are like a bad acid trip. Though sometimes those trips have great meaning.

    Blessings my friend, Lady Moss

  20. No matter what, even during a zombie attack, a mother will do anything to protect her children. I don't know what the dream meant, but maybe you were worried or stressing about something and it came out in this weird dream.

  21. Hi Adsila

  23. Ha...well Happy New Year to you great Vivienne, warrior Goddess and kicker of Zombie Ass! What a great (and vivid) dream/nightmare you had! I agree...I think your subconscious mind was just taking care of the rest of the unfinished business of banishment! Other than fighting off Zombies....I do so hope you had a pleasant holiday season and are ready for a really great new year ahead. Glad to be back here in Halloween Town w/ superheros like YOU! :o)
    Namaste,
    Wendy
