It's Time To Pull Myself Out Of The Muck

I have been a bit blah lately. I feel like the Swamp Creature is pulling me under into his cold, dark world. Don't worry, I'm not depressed, just down and lonely. I need to get out more and explore this beautiful world,  look for the bright side, the silver lining in the cloud, ect.

Enough of the pity party feeling. It's time that I celebrate the fact that I'm a wonderful mother and person. Sure I have my quirks, that's what makes me so much fun!! I love to put on some good tunes and dance around the house much to the embarrassment of my girls. We all love to sing along with The Doors in the car. There are a couple of songs that we make up our own words to. I'm sure our neighbors think we are one loony family. Acting silly is what brings me out of my murky muck feeling.

What do you do to feel better when you are down?

Great news!! My dear sister Beth found me my lumberjack!!!

This is now my new screen saver. I'm thinking of printing it off and putting it by my bed. Oh what a wonderful time I could have with him in Dream Land!

One last thing. A big thank you to my friend for making me feel better the other night. Hope everything is well with you.

Many Blessings to all, V.

  4. Hi V,
I know how you feel because I feel exactly the same at the moment. It's so grey here in the UK, it's depressing!
Love The Doors as well and there is nothing wrong with dancing around the house. I think all women do that! ;-)

Beading jewellery makes me feel better and cuddling my cat.
Also being out in nature, going out for a good walk in the woods.

Nice lumberjack photo. He definitely cheered me up!
    Thanks for sharing him. ;-D

  5. My monthly road trips usually revive me and get me going when I am down. Being out in nature and doing what I love, taking photos of awesome places, I feel so much better. Just that one or two days away really help.

  6. HAHA congrats on your lumberjack find. I usually just hang with my wife, she always brings me out of that deep dark swampy type of attitude, or a good book or video game helps too! Sorry I haven't visited in forever, hope to be back regularly now!

  8. Music and silliness is my cure too... I have a playlist on my netbook labeled "Cheer the Eff up!" lol.. Dancing and playing with my little guy helps too (he sings Hello, I Love You all the time)

That lumberjack is definitely a good reason to smile =)

  9. Celebrating your unique and wonderful self is the perfect start to living in the light! Enrich your world by exploring new opportunities and meeting new people. Dance around the house like a loon and sing your heart out with THE DOORS. You'll claw out of the muck in no time!
P.S. Glad you're enjoying Mr. Lumberjack. Am I a matchmaker, or what? :) Love and hugs!

Love you new avatar. Owls have a special place in my heart.

The winter blues have never hit me before this year. I ahve'nt been to the tanning bed in years but i'm thinking of going just to get some UV. I've heard it's good for the blues. Hope you pull out of your muck soon as well.

Nature is a wonderful cure for the blues.

You are very welcome for Mr. Lumberjack!!

  15. Whoa, I didn't authorize use of my photo. (Ha)

I agree with freedragon, he is hot, but I don't know about men and axes. One minute it's stumps, the next it's "Heeeeeere's Johnny." Let's pretend he's fumbling with a loaf of French bread to go with the goat cheese and Greek olives you bought at the market.

  29. Hey V, your family sounds just like mine, except I have only one daughter ... wouldn't change it for the world ... I was a single parent for a time and then made the mistake of marrying a troll/man because I was so lonely. Now, I'm happy to say I'm happily free of him and all that abuse. Do wish I never wasted all those years though and spent the time discovering who I am ... which is what I'm trying to do now. Peace and Happiness to you and ALL !

  31. Oh my! That lumberjack...whooo, what eye candy!

My girls and I used to sing along to The Doors, too, only that was back when Jim Morrison was actually alive. Oh...jeez...am I old. Ah, so what.

Vivienne, I hope your spirits lift soon. Just keep dancing, sweet girl!

    Love,

    Victoria

  32. Hi ArtSings

I am so happy that you are away from that abuse. I'm going to be very picky about who I date this time around. I owe it to myself and my girls.

Peace and Happiness to you and your daughter, V.

  35. Hi Victoria

If I could go back in time it would be to see Jim and a few other rockers who lived and died around that time. Of course there are other eras I would love to visit. You're not old. Just well lived and wise!!

My Spirits are lifting. I feel all the love comimg from my blog friend and family. Thank you so much.

  37. I'll share Johnny ;o) Did you hear, it's look like he is splitting up with his wife? I hope it wasn't because of me! LOL!

  38. Haha. What is it with you and lumberjacks? Although, the one in your picture is mighty tasty! :) I'm sorry you've been feeling blue. I'd be more concerned if I didn't already get the feeling that you are a fierce, strong woman who will overcome any obstacle put before you! Keep singing and dancing with your girls! Music feeds the soul.
