In My Mailbox & Other News

I opened my mailbox last week to find a wonderful surprise. My dear friend Stacy from Magic Love Crow sent me a lovely package filled with wonderful goodies. I love that I found such amazing friends in blog land. She sent these gifts for both me and my girls. They were just as excited as I was.

First up are three of the cutest Love Voodoo Dolls I have ever seen. My girls have already chosen theirs. B, the oldest, wants the blue one and K, the youngest, wants the purple one. I get the yellow one, the largest of the three. I plan on charging my doll with the intention of attracting the right person into my life. I will keep my heart open for the possibilities that will be sent my way. I don't know if a lumberjack will show up, maybe not. I will wait and see who the Universe sends me.

Next up are these three beautiful bracelets. The rose quartz is for love, the one with the angels is to guard against bad people(I really need this one) and the one with flower beads is for love of Mother Earth. I have to fight my girls over these. We love them so much and they have very good vibrations to them. It feels like Stacy breathed some love into them.

Last is some sage to use for ridding my home of negativity. I was in need of this because I am out of it. I really need to get to the herb store. I used a bit of this sage in the banishing ritual I did. It worked splendidly.

Thank you so much Stacy for these wonderful and heartfelt gifts. You have brought a much needed smile to my face. Hugs my friend!!!

All of these gifts fit in nicely with my new altar. It is still a work in progress. This altar is dedicated to Aphrodite. She is not just the Goddess of love, but the Goddess of Passion. I could use some passion in all areas of my life. I have to be careful what I ask of Her because she can be fierce. I think I could use a little of that fierceness as well.

In other news, I finally got my car back after almost a month without her. Betty is running great and i am very happy to have her home. thank you all for the well wishes for her.

I haven't been on blogger much lately. I have tried to keep up with all the blogs I follow. I am also having trouble commenting on a few. Please know that I am reading your posts. My new work schedule is keeping me busy. After taking the girls to school in the morning I come home to do a little house work and run errands before work. After work I pick up the girls then come home to help with homework, cook dinner and give baths. It doesn't leave me a lot of time to blog. Once I get into the groove of things I will be on here more often.

I am now also volunteering for our local museum. I will be packing and moving some items to another building so they can open a third floor. I will have to take a special class on how to handle artifacts. I think this will be fun. I will keep you updated on any unique items I might find.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'll try to post more regularly. Blessings to all, V.

  1. I am so glad to hear that you are keeping your heart open to all that is possible! I had pretty much given up on men after 12 awful years married to the wrong man. Friends of mine had asked me to go horseback riding...being a single mom I had little time for fun, but I went anyways, grudgingly packing for the weekend. Long story short, if I had not gone on that weekend I would not have met the man I have been happily married to for the last 18 years! Life works its magic when we keep our hearts open. He is working his way towards you right now.

  2. Hi Art Bliss

What a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing. It might take awhile for Mr. Right to show up and I'm ok with that. Just keeping my heart open is enough for now.

    Blessings, V.

  3. Greeting Vivienne, Your altar is coming along fine .... ours is also a work in progress ... always. Love the shell for burning your sage ... it's beautiful ... I'll have to keep a lookout for finding shells to make a beautiful one something like yours.

I know what you mean about attracting the wrong people ... both my daughter and I have done that all of our lives (I guess she got it from me). I can only speak for myself, but I really try to change my energy so I attract only goodness and light. I do this by writing positive affirmations and "acting as if" everything is and will always be ok. For me it's always a struggle, but I haven't given up and it helps a bit.

Anyway, I am a firm believer that we are all on our own paths ... each one is right for themselves.

Love and Light and All Things Good to Everyone !

  8. Great gifts from the delightful Stacy! You are a busy woman and doing a damn fine job of keeping heart and soul and home together! Your girls are blessed to have a Mom such as yourself! (and I mean it). Glad you and Betty are reunited. It is always a good rule of thumb to be cautious what you wish for, or spellwork for; sometimes you can get more than you bargain for!! That being said, keep your eyes and options open!!! Beautiful altar....and mine is always a work in progress, as the vibrations are always changing, along with the seasons! Remember to take some time for yourself for a little R&R. I have to say the work at the museum sounds great!!

  10. What lovely gifts and your altar is wonderful! I'm glad you have Betty back and I hope life becomes a little more manageable for you soon. Life's been incredibly hectic for me lately, too, and I understand how hard it can be to keep on top of everything. I love the idea of a little Aphrodite-y fierceness!! Look after yourself!!

I'm so glad you got Betty back. With all you have on your plate right now, having a car in good working order must make it a tiny bit easier.

  14. Hi ArtSings

Thank you.I bought the shell offering dish at a local store. They have all kinds of fun and beautiful things. I bought the fairy there as well. She reminds me of a nymph.

I quess we have something in common. Attracting the wrong kind of men. I do try to stay positive but it is very hard at times. I hope you and your daughter will find mr. Right someday.

    Blessings and love, V.

  15. I Adsila

I think a lot of us are busy. This world is always in such a hurry. I wish we all could slow done a bit.

I had been looking at that shell for a while. The lady that owns the store let me put it on lay-away. I knew it would be perfect for an Aphrodite/Venus altar.

Blessings to you and your family, V.

  19. Hi Robin

Thank you for saying that i'm a good mom. That means a lot to me. I sometimes feel that I'm not "doing" it right. Though deep down i know that I am.

I am so happy that Betty is back. I put some lipstick on and gave her a kiss. There's a nice lip print on the windshield now. LOL.

The museum work is my R&R. I think it will be good for and i hope to make some new friends while working there. Keeping my heart and eyes open is my plan from now on.

    Blessings, V.

  20. Hi Stacy

Thank you so much. You are such a wonderful friend. I'm glad we picked the right Voodoo Dolls. The girls just love them and mine is on my Aphrodite altar. She must be working because the very cute cable guy was flirting with me when he was hooking up my cable yesterday. I'll blog about that soon. it was very funny.

I am slowly starting to feel like a great mom. I think a lot of moms have a hard time with feeling like they are doing it well.

Lots of Love and Big Hugs my Dear Friend, V.

  21. Hi Little Gothic Horrors

Having Betty back is a blessing. I don't mind walking but I hated bumming rides to the store and other places that I couldn't walk to.

I'm hoping that Aphrodite-y fierceness works for me.

    Blessings, V.
