My growing obsession begins with just one look at a new deck and the next thing you know you find several more. I would like to share five Gothic style decks ( well, one of them is not so much Gothic but it still fits into the macabre) that are to be released soon. I'm not sure yet which one I like best. I'm leaning toward the Royo deck. For more information and to pre-order any of these decks you can visit Amazon.com.

HI V..so gorgeous...these are all magnificent..i love the first one so much..very beautiful..stunning!I think that is what i love so much about tarot too..every artist has their own magical art..all so unique..it is amazing!
ReplyDeleteV~
PS: off topic..i was wondering how you get the "reply" feature here on your comments..it is so cool!
Hi V~
DeleteI could go broke buying all the tarot decks I see just for the amazing artwork.
I have no idea how I got the "reply" feature. It just showed up. I love it. Makes it much easier to reply to comments. I'll see if i can figure out how i got it.
Blessings, V.
I don't know if this will come up on 'comment' or 'reply' because the little comment box doesn't come up until I press reply. I'm much like you with the Tarot decks. They're all so beautifully done that I cannot make a choice and buy all.
ReplyDeleteMary
Looks like it showed up as a comment. I love the different "stories" each deck tells with its art. I hardly ever go by the "little white book" and just go by what the card "shows" me.
DeleteBlessings, V.
The artwork is amazing. I would put them in the perfect frame and hang them on my wall.
ReplyDeleteHi Adsila
DeleteThey would looking wonderful in frames. I have a few crafty projects in mind for some of the decks i don't use for readings.
Blessings, V.
Wow!
ReplyDeleteAren't they stunning.
Like you, I tend to be drawn to the artwork.
I feel particularly drawn to the Gothic deck. Will have to look them up on Amazon!
I found this post absolutely facinating. Thanks so much for sharing.
Blessings Y
Hi Ygraine
DeleteYes, they are stunning. The gothic deck is great. I'm having such a hard time choosing that I'm sure I'll end up with all of them in the future. It's in the cards. LOL
Blessings, V.
I'm loving the Steampunk deck!
ReplyDeletexx
Hi Magickafoot
DeleteI love it too! I need to see if I can find more images of the deck.
Blessings, V.
These are gorgeous ...I love collecting oracle and tarot decks, although I am unable to acquire some now, I have a bunch that I can enjoy. I especially love using the oracle cards, and use the tarot decks as such just using the major cards. I really don't practice this enough at all. Thanks for this post, dear one.
ReplyDeleteLove and Light and Everything Good to ALL !
Hi ArtSings
DeleteYou're welcome. I love both tarot and oracle decks as well and own quite a few. Come May there will be more added to my collection.
Blessings, V.
Vivienne, these are all so great! Beautiful art work! I think the top 3 are my favs! I still have to buy myself a deck! I think I might be soon ;o)
ReplyDeleteI see Victoria asked about your reply to the comments, I had to get rid of mine, because people couldn't comment with the embedded below option, (that's only where you get the reply) so I moved it to the pop up page. Just to let you know, incase there are some people who can't comment on your blog ;o)
Blessings my friend ;o) Stacy
Hi Stacy
DeleteI love those as well. I'm sure I will end up with all five sooner or later. I hope you recieve a deck soon.
Thanks for the info on the comment/reply option. I'll keep an eye out for any problems.
Blessings my friend, V.
Vivienne, I just had to come back and tease you! I loved the way you spelled my name on Kim's blog ;o) LOL! Big Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeleteHi Satcy, I guess I'm still not caught up on my sleep. LOL
DeleteBig Hugs to you, V.
I love the artwork on the second deck. I just bought my first deck, purely for the artwork. But, it's nearly 12:30 a.m. here (I can't sleep, probably because the moon is full) and I can't remember the name of it. Oh, well.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're sleeping well!
Blessings,
Victoria
Hi Victoria
DeleteI love the artwork on all of them which makes it difficult to choose. Whne you can remember the name of your deck let me know.
I am sleeping better, thank you.
Blessings, V.
Hi V,
ReplyDeleteHow are things with you?
Oh lovely to see your new post about tarot! ;-)
I also have a collection of different cards, but I like the Gothic styles you have chosen.
The artwork is the first thing I look at when choosing a deck as well. I like the look of the Steampunk cards, really theatrical. My favourite packs I have at the moment is Froud's Fairy tarot and also the Celtic Tree Oracle.
Just noticed your last post about sleep. I know how you feel. My sleeping patterns are all messed up at the moment.
I think we need a bottle of Lavender oil by our beds.
Have a peaceful weekend,
Best wishes,
Jo.
Hi Joanne
DeleteI am doing well. And you? I don't have the celtic tree oracle but i do love Brian Froud's Fairy oracle. It is my favorite deck. The fairys sppeek to me in that deck. It's like they are alive. LOL
I put some lavender buds by my bed and rub it on my hands and pillow before I go sleep. It seems to be helping.
Blessings, V.
oooooooo, I love all of these!
ReplyDeleteI have insomnia too. It's draining sometimes. *sigh*
I hope you get some rest lovely.
LuLu~*xoxo
Ooh! I really like the Alchemy and Steampunk decks! I can see how collecting Tarot decks could become an addiction. There are so many beautiful ones out there. I find Tarot to be practical as well. I've often been helped in reflecting on a problem by doing a Tarot spread.
ReplyDeleteWow. Those are amazing. I was also drawn to the Royo, but the Steampunk deck was very cool too! Get them all and become a collector!
ReplyDeleteAward for you on my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteI can see why you'd be drawn in by the artwork! They're all fabulous! I particularly like the Steampunk one because I've never seen a deck like that before. The zombie deck is a fun idea for zombie fans. I recently saw a Tarot deck designed by Edward Gorey. It's great, of course, but it's cheeky and silly rather that serious Tarot.
ReplyDeleteWow, these decks look great!
ReplyDeleteHope that you and yours are well.... I have to go tomorrow morning and have the doctor remove a small tumor off my skull (about 3inches by 2 inches) and have to go Monday and have 4 or 5 teeth extracted.... very little of those teeth left , mostly their roots that will have to be dug out from my gums....
ReplyDeleteBest wishes in all that you do , your friend , the Doctor
The Tumor was about the size of a large egg yolk... and it looked just like some misshapened Eyeball.... Creepy...
